Non-resident tax in Mallorca

You live abroad. Your Spanish taxes, up to date.

Owning a home on the island while living in another country comes with tax obligations in Spain. Often without anyone telling you.

We file your non-resident returns, remind you of every deadline and explain it all in English.

Even if you never rent it out.

If you own a home in Mallorca and you are not resident in Spain, you usually have to file a return every year for simply owning it, even if you only use it on holiday.

It is a simple return, but it is often forgotten. And over time, surcharges add up.

If you rent it out.

Rental income from a property in Spain is taxed in Spain.

If you live in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you can deduct the expenses of the property, and that makes a real difference to the tax. We keep the figures and file on time.

If you sell it.

The buyer withholds 3 % of the price and pays it to the Spanish tax office on account of your tax.

You then declare the gain. If too much was withheld, you get the difference back. We work it out with you before you sign, so there are no surprises.

What we do for you.

  • —Non-resident income tax returns, yearly or quarterly.
  • —Calculating the gain when you sell, and claiming back the 3 % withholding.
  • —Working with your adviser in your country of residence.
  • —Planning the inheritance and the future of your property in Mallorca.

A person, not a ticket.

You will deal with someone who knows your case, by email or WhatsApp. In English, Spanish or Catalan.

We reply within 24 hours. Always.
